Photo Tips: Choosing the Right Images for Your Wedding Invitation
Our Sweet Day Team, January 24, 2026
Photos make a wedding invitation personal. Here's how to get the most out of the Photos tab on Our Sweet Day.
The Main Photo
Your main photo is the first image guests see, and each template frames it differently: a print in The Suite, a magazine cover in The Feature, an arched window, a stamp. For the best results:
- Use a high-resolution photo (at least 1200px wide)
- Choose an image with a clear subject, usually the two of you
- Avoid very busy backgrounds
- Set the focal point by clicking the part of the photo that must stay in frame when the template crops it
- Switch templates in the preview to see how the same photo sits in each layout
Supported Formats
Our Sweet Day accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC (iPhone photos), so you can upload straight from your phone.
Using the Gallery
You can add up to 12 gallery photos and change their order. Each template presents them in its own way, such as a picture essay in The Feature, a film strip in Premiere, or a stamp sheet in Postmarked. Some ideas:
- Your prenup shoot
- Photos from the years you've been together
- The place you got engaged
- The church or venue
Ordering Your Photos
Put your strongest photo first and think of the gallery as a short story: how you met, the years together, the proposal, and the place you'll marry.
A Note on Free Events
The gallery shows on the public link and on every guest's personal link, on free and paid events alike.
