How to Set Up Wedding RSVPs That Actually Get Answered
Our Sweet Day Team, February 7, 2026
Getting timely RSVPs is one of the hardest parts of wedding planning. Here's how Our Sweet Day's RSVP works and how to set it up.
Why Digital RSVPs Work Better
Paper reply cards have a low return rate. With Our Sweet Day, each guest opens their personal link, scrolls to the RSVP section of your invitation, and replies in under a minute. Every template has its own RSVP section in its own style: a reply card in The Suite, a reply coupon in The Feature, an "admit one" ticket in Premiere, a boarding pass in Postmarked.
What Guests Can Tell You
- Attendance — attending or not attending, plus an optional "not sure yet"
- Plus-ones — adults and kids, up to the limits you set for that guest
- Plus-one names — if you switch on the option to ask for them
- Dietary needs — allergies and preferences for your caterer
- A note — a message to the two of you
Setting Your Dates
In the editor's RSVP tab, set two dates:
1. Reply by — the deadline for replies, shown to guests
2. Changes allowed until — after this date, guests can no longer change their answer. Leave it empty to lock each reply once it's sent.
Tip: set the reply-by date 3–4 weeks before the wedding, and the changes date 1–2 weeks before.
You can also write a short note that appears above the form, such as "We've reserved seats in your honour."
Setting Plus-One Limits
In your guest list, set how many adult and kid plus-ones each guest may bring. If you share one link with a group chat instead, the shared link has its own plus-one limit and a maximum number of uses.
Tracking Responses
Open the Event Manager to see your guest list with each guest's status, plus-ones, dietary needs and notes. Guest Analytics shows the totals: attending, not attending, not sure, pending, and the full headcount split into adults and kids.
Following Up
Filter for guests who haven't replied and send their personal link again by email, or copy it into a message. A personal reminder from you or a family member usually works better than a group blast.
Exporting Your Guest List
When the replies are in, export the guest list as a CSV for your caterer, coordinator or venue.
