The Proposal Box: a proposal invitation template
A kraft gift box tied with satin ribbon: pull the ribbon, lift the lid, and the question is waiting under the tissue paper.
The design
The classic bridesmaid and groomsman proposal box, packed by hand. They meet it closed, ribbon crossed over the lid and a tag with their name on the bow. One pull and the ribbon slides away, the lid lifts off and the tissue parts: their name and the question on a letterpress card, a photo tucked behind it, your personal note on a kraft tag. Below, the box is divided into compartments: a folded note in your words, little cards with the reasons why them, a packing slip of what saying yes involves (they can tick it off), the day printed beside a candle they can light, photos in a glassine sleeve and the small print that makes no an easy answer. They reply by choosing one of two equal kraft tags; a yes gets a satin bow, a no is wrapped back up with care and thanks.
Colours and type
The Proposal Box comes in 3 colourways: Kraft box & blush ribbon, Kraft box & sage ribbon and Black box & champagne ribbon, with 2 type pairings: Letterpress & pencil and Atelier & ink. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.

- Tick One Box: The note passed across the classroom, folded into a tight triangle with their name on it. They unfold it, read the question, and answer by ticking a box: Yes or No.
- The Corsage Box: A wrist corsage on satin in a clear florist's box, their name on the lid. Lift the lid and the ribbon tag slides out with the question and the occasion.
- Two Across: The weekend crossword, set by you for one solver. The starred clue is your question; the shaded answers are their name and the word date, and tapping them pens them in.
- Side B, Track Six: A mixtape made by hand. They open the clear case, the J-card folds out in marker and biro, and the last track on side B, ringed twice, is your question.
- Admit Two: A pair of cinema tickets, seats side by side. They tear off the stub to keep, turn it over, and the question is printed on the back.
- Par Avion: A paper plane folded from airmail paper waits on the desk with their name on the wing. One tap throws it: it loops the room, lands, and unfolds into the question.
- Four Flashes: A photo booth on a fairground at night. They press the button: the strip feeds out of the slot, the booth flashes four times, and the fourth frame is you holding up a card with the question.
