Rose Glass: a wedding invitation template
Two tall doors of rippled blush glass with roses blooming behind them, sealed by a stained-glass rose with your monogram; one tap and the doors swing open onto the two of you.
The design
The whole invitation is made of glass, the way an old conservatory is: rolled glass with a hammered surface, every dimple a little lens that bends the roses behind it, lit by a sheen that moves as the guest scrolls. It opens on a pair of tall glass doors with a brass meeting rail, closed by a leaded rose roundel, blush petals and grey-green leaves round a centre glass with your initials painted on it. A soft chime at the first tap, the seal parts at the seam and the doors swing open onto your photograph. Inside, everything is glass work: your names in gold leaf on an acid-etched arched pane, the countdown in the fanlight over the doors, your story etched on the lower sashes of a row of reeded windows (open a sash to see the photograph clearly), the ceremony and the reception on a pair of etched doors, the order of the day on one tall pane whose light turns from morning to evening as the guest scrolls down, the wedding party etched on seeded glass, a wardrobe rail in front of the glass where tapping a coloured pane in the transom pours its light over a dress and a jacket to show what to wear, your photographs behind little casement windows that open at a tap, and a rose window for the reply whose petals light up one by one when it is sent. At the end the doors swing shut and the seal joins again.

Rose Glass comes in 3 colourways: Blush glass, Champagne glass and Sea glass, with 2 type pairings: Bodoni Moda, Spectral and Pinyon Script and Gilda Display, Crimson Pro and Italianno. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
