Double Joy: a wedding invitation template
A modern Chinese invitation that opens on a bold red 囍 block with your names, a towering date and both times, then follows one red thread through every page.
The design
The first screen is a solid vermilion card: a giant cream 囍 beside your names, the date set huge with the day in a lighter ink, the lunar date and the ceremony and reception times split by a hairline, with your photograph pinned below on a red thread. The thread then runs through framed prints whose letters open on their own papers (letter, grid memo, postcard, rose note, book page), ties a Chinese knot under the moon over the order of the day, fans two letters for attire and gifts, closes in a ring, and ends on the formal invitation, the entourage, photographs and a reply card.
Colours and type
Double Joy comes in 4 colourways: Vermilion block, Lacquer & gold, Peony and Jade & red thread, with 3 type pairings: Song serif & WenKai, EB Garamond & Klee and Playfair & Long Cang. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Style
Cultural, from the chinese tradition.
What is included
