Lagna: a wedding invitation template
A Marathi wedding card: diyas, शुभ विवाह and saffron script names on ivory, framed by a deep maroon edge.
The design
An ivory card with a gold edge sits on a maroon ground strewn with faint Marathi vow words: two clay diyas, शुभ विवाह, a लग्न समारंभ pill, the couple in a saffron script and rounded rows for date, muhurat and venue, finished with a marigold garland. The लग्न पत्रिका pill opens the rest as matching cards: the families and a countdown, the story, venues and programme, photos, sponsors boxed as on a printed patrika, notes and the RSVP.
Colours and type
Lagna comes in 4 colourways: Kumkum maroon, Peacock teal, Paithani purple and Mehendi green, with 3 type pairings: Great Vibes & Poppins, Pinyon & Martel and Parisienne & Hind. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Style
Cultural, from the indian tradition.
