Mandalay: a wedding invitation template
A Burmese wedding letter: bold centred lines, a heart-scroll divider under each, pink watercolour roses at the corners and a burst of paper confetti.
The design
A white watercolour sheet with pink roses in its corners stays still behind the page while a formal, centred invitation scrolls over it: every part is a bold heading, a black heart-scroll divider and a few centred lines. Day, hour and venue each get their own heading, as in a Burmese invitation card, followed by the story, program, framed photos, sponsors in formal pairs, the full entourage and a framed reply card. The roses bloom in, the heart scroll draws out and the names land in a burst of paper confetti; a reply gets a burst of its own.
Colours and type
Mandalay comes in 4 colourways: Roses on white, Ivory & gold, Sage and Blush, with 3 type pairings: Padauk, Tinos and Cormorant & EB Garamond. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Style
Cultural, from the burmese tradition.
