Vinyl Gatefold: a birthday invitation template
A milestone birthday pressed as a long-playing record: the photo is the album art, the record slides out onto the platter and the needle drops, the program is Side B's tracklist and the reply is the fan-club card.
The design
Opens on the sleeve: the birthday photo printed as the album art, the name set in tall condensed capitals, an obi strip down the edge, the shrink-wrap catching the light and a hype sticker carrying the milestone ("Includes the single..."). The record slides out of the sleeve onto the platter, the tonearm swings across from its rest, hangs for a beat and drops the needle, and the record turns at forty RPM. Guests can stop and start it, and flip it to Side B. Everything below is the record's own printed matter: the back-cover blurb with the credits and the release date counting down, Side A as the first forty years (liner notes plus a tracklist of life's moments, each lasting as many minutes as it did years), the venue credited as "recorded live at" with the after-party as a bonus track, Side B as the evening's tracklist with real running times and a cue disc whose arm swings to the track you tap, a grown-up-listening sticker, the dress code as coloured pressings that slide out of their sleeves, the photos printed on the inner sleeve, a record-shop want list for gifts, fan mail for the questions, a mail-in fan-club card for the reply (postmarked when sent, and the membership card rises out of it) and the closing words etched into the run-out groove.
Colours and type
Vinyl Gatefold comes in 3 colourways: Oxblood, Blue Hour and Seventies, with 2 type pairings: League Gothic & Libre Caslon and Bodoni Moda & Literata. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
Made for adult, in the Themed style.
What is included

You write your own words and add your photos in the live editor, send every guest a personal link by email or any messaging app, and follow the replies as they come in. Free for up to 20 guests, with the full design.
