Batman Gotham Case File: a birthday invitation template
A Gotham night under the Bat-Signal: the age shines in the clouds, and the party is Commissioner Gordon's case file, typed, stamped and clipped.
The design
Opens on Gotham City at night: the searchlight on the police roof switches on, its beam climbs into the storm clouds and the Bat-Signal shows bat wings around the child's age, while Batman swoops in through the light. Below lies Commissioner Gordon's case file on the birthday child: a cover sheet with the photo clipped on, the name in deco caps and CONFIDENTIAL stamps. Every section is another sheet of the same file, typed and annotated in red grease pencil: a background check for the story, a location report with a circled street map, the utility belt inventory for the program, a memo to parents with a lineup of known cake thieves (the Joker and the Penguin), a dress code with fabric swatches, surveillance prints, a requisition form for gifts, hotline message slips for the questions and a response form to answer the signal, with Batman waiting behind it. The file closes with "Next case" and Gordon's note that he turned around to thank him, and he was gone.
Colours and type
Batman Gotham Case File comes in 3 colourways: Gotham night, Dark Deco red and Police blue, with 2 type pairings: Limelight & Courier Prime and Staatliches & Cutive Mono. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
Made for kids, in the Themed style.
