Birthday Home Screen: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is a phone: unlock it, and every app on the home screen holds part of the party.
The design
Guests land on a lock screen with the birthday star as the wallpaper, a big clock, little lock-screen widgets for the age and the days to go, a notification from the hosts and a live party countdown with a candle. Swipe up to a home screen on a birthday wallpaper of the age in giant outlined numerals: a photo widget, a countdown widget whose candle you can blow out for a wish, and a grid of apps. Calendar holds the date and the program as a day view, Clock the countdown, Maps the venue, Notes the invitation and the story as release notes, Photos the memories, Messages the questions as a chat you tap through, Weather what to wear ("7°, with a 100% chance of cake"), Wallet the gifts and Invites the reply, which lands as a banner with a happy buzz. Works for every kind: parents get a Party ID with drop-off, pick-up and allergies; grown-ups get a Surprise Focus mode for the secret and Screen Time for adults-only; debuts get the 18 Roses in Contacts, the 18 Candles to light in Reminders, the 18 Treasures as a shared album, the court as a group chat and the parents' message as a voicemail with a transcript.
Colours and type
Birthday Home Screen comes in 3 colourways: Sherbet, Afterhours and Champagne, with 2 type pairings: Bricolage & Figtree and Fraunces & Figtree. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
Made for kids, adult and debut, in the Themed style.
What is included
An invitation website with the party's details and place, your photos, a song if you want one, and the RSVP with the number of adults and children coming. You write your own words and add your photos in the live editor, send every guest a personal link by email or any messaging app, and follow the replies as they come in. Free for up to 20 guests, with the full design.
