Birthday Special: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is a family streaming app for kids, open on a brand-new show: the birthday child is the hero profile, the party's worlds glow when you tap them, and replying means picking your own avatar and joining the watch party.
The design
Guests open "nightlight", a warm family streaming app of our own under a navy-to-twilight sky. A crescent moon draws itself, a star drops onto the i, and the app asks "Who's watching?": the birthday child is the hero profile, with their photo in a glowing gold ring, next to a locked "Grown-ups" profile and a "Join the party" one. Inside, the home screen premieres "Jonah's Birthday Special": a brand-new title with the child's photo as the billboard, Season 6 for the age, a Play button that plays the host's song while the photos drift, and a countdown to the premiere. Big world tiles light up when you tap them and fly you into each part of the party: the party place, the games, the cake, dress-up, snapshots and the wish list. The program is a list of episodes with runtimes (tap one and the song jumps to it), the life story is "earlier seasons", the venue is "streaming live at", the parents' practical notes live in the Grown-ups profile, the dress code is a row of costume colours that dress your avatar, photos are behind-the-scenes stills, and questions are the help centre. Replying is picking your guest avatar (a moon, a star, a cloud, a planet, a little dino or a sprout) and joining: your avatar flies up into the "Watching together" row beside the birthday star. It ends with an "Up next" card for next year's birthday. Works as a phone app with a tab bar and as a TV-style desktop app with a side rail.
Colours and type
Birthday Special comes in 3 colourways: Twilight, Aurora and Berry Dusk, with 2 type pairings: DynaPuff & Lexend and Bagel Fat One & Figtree. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
Made for kids, in the Themed style.
