After Dark Neon: a birthday invitation template
A birthday told in neon signs on a brick wall at night: the name in glowing script, the age as a buzzing number, the evening on the bar's lit menu board and the reply switching on the OPEN sign.
The design
Opens in the dark on the back wall of a bar: the brick is barely there until the first tube strikes. The greeting flickers on, then the name ignites letter by letter in pink script across the foot of the birthday photo, the wall takes the light, a held beat, and the age buzzes on in fat monoline tubes. The whole invitation is that one wall, and every section is its own sign, mounted on smoked acrylic with chrome standoffs and wired down the brick to its own little transformer: each one strikes as it scrolls into view. The story hangs off a vertical tube with the years in glass digits, the venue sits under a THIS WAY arrow, the evening is the bar's lit menu board with the times as prices (tap a line and its pointer lights), the dress code is a sign-maker's sample board of coloured tubes, the photos are backlit lightboxes, the questions are for the bartender, and the reply is the OPEN sign: dark glass until the guest answers, then it flickers on with a fizz of sparks. Every sign has a rocker switch on its transformer to kill it and strike it again, the name sign changes gas when tapped, and the age buzzes when you touch it. Works for every kind: kids get a grown-ups' sign with drop-off and pick-up in glass digits, adults get the SHH sign for a surprise and an ID PLEASE sign, debuts get roll-call boards for the 18 Roses, Candles, Treasures, Bills and Shots, the court paired around a glowing ampersand and the parents' message under a neon heart.

After Dark Neon comes in 3 colourways: Last Orders, Absinthe and Red Light, with 2 type pairings: Neonderthaw & Tilt Neon and Yellowtail & Tilt Neon. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
