Junior Ranger Field Guide: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is a junior ranger's field guide: a kraft-board handbook with a topographic trail map, an embroidered merit patch for every page, a campfire night guests can light, and a trail register to sign.
The design
Opens on the cover of a rugged park handbook: kraft board blind-printed with olive and rust contour lines, the child's name routed into a wooden park sign and their photo glued in as the Ranger ID. The contour lines draw themselves, a dashed trail climbs the hill to the summit, the flag runs up, a held beat, and the embroidered "Rank 8" patch lands on the photo's corner while its satin stitches run round. Every page of the guide is a station that earns its own patch: a trail junction signpost counts down the days, the story is a trail log on an elevation profile, the venue is a topo trail map where guests can hike a ranger to camp and pitch the tent, the program is a camp schedule checklist (tick every item for the Camp Crew patch), parents get the ranger station notes, the colours are embroidery threads, the photos are glued-in field prints, the gifts are a trading post chit, and the questions are asked on the night page around a woodcut campfire guests light with a tap while they toast a marshmallow from golden to torched. The reply is the trail register: sign it and the Junior Ranger patch is stitched on as embers rise. It closes on the back cover with the ranger's pledge: next trail, turns 9.
Colours and type
Junior Ranger Field Guide comes in 3 colourways: Kraft & olive, Pine night and Canyon sandstone, with 2 type pairings: Holtwood & Vollkorn and Ultra & Faustina. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
