The Keepsake Box: a christening invitation template
A real walnut keepsake box on a linen cloth: lift the lid, brush the sawdust off the new brass plate, and everything inside is laid out on the table.
The design
One rendered object carries the whole invitation: a walnut keepsake box with brass hinges, corner caps and a quilted rose velvet lining, set on a linen tablecloth. The guest drags the lid up (or taps) and it opens frame by frame on its hinges; a new brass name plate sits under fresh sawdust, and they brush it away with a finger to find the child's name engraved in it. Below, the things kept in the box are laid flat on the cloth one at a time as the page scrolls: the service on a deckle-edged cotton card with a countdown, the baby's particulars on a kraft luggage tag that swings on its twine and turns over for the meaning of the name, the parents' letter, tent place cards for the godparents, the order of the day with a silk ribbon that follows the reader down, pinked fabric swatches for the dress colours, a pile of prints to slide aside, folded notes for the questions, and a reply card. When the reply is sent, the card drops into a second box at the foot of the page and the lid closes over it.
Colours and type
The Keepsake Box comes in 3 colourways: Oat linen, rose velvet, Dove linen, plum velvet and Sage linen, rose velvet, with 2 type pairings: Nameplate engraving and Ledger copperplate. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
