Paper Lace: a christening invitation template
Layered paper lace doilies: the lace unfolds ring by ring to the child's name, and every part of the day is cut into lace you can turn, unfold and colour in.
The design
The whole invitation is a table laid with cut-paper lace doilies, white lace over a coloured doily so the colour shows through every punched petal. It opens with the great round doily folded up: the outer lace fans open, then the next ring, then the next, until the child's name is pressed into the plain paper at the centre. Guests can turn the lace with a finger and watch the rings slide against each other. The service is printed on a lace placemat, with a countdown on four little rosettes; the birth details come folded in a lace napkin that opens out in two folds; the godparents arrive as a packet of doily coasters you lay out on the table with a touch; the order of the day sits on a lace runner and a satin ribbon threads itself through its slots as you scroll. The dress colours are sheets of tissue: tap one and it floods under the lace. Photographs slide through a lace mount under your finger, the questions open one at a time, and the reply is sealed with a gold paper rosette and a shower of lace punchings.

Paper Lace comes in 4 colourways: Ivory lace on oat, White lace on blush, White lace on powder blue and Cream lace on sage, with 2 type pairings: Lace & copperplate and Salon. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
