Ivory & Cross: a christening invitation template
An ivory stationery suite in its envelope: break the foil seal, turn over the birth card, light the baptismal candle, flick through the prints.
The design
A stationer's suite in heavy ivory cotton card. It arrives in an envelope closed with a foil seal bearing the child's initial: the guest touches the seal, the flap lifts and the card rises out. A small cross is hot-stamped in foil at the top (an olive sprig on a naming day) and catches the light when touched; the headline is written in script and the child's name settles in spaced capitals. Under the date a numbering-machine countdown rolls, with Directions and Add to calendar. An arched window holds the baby's photograph. Tucked in with the main card: a birth card tied with a ribbon that turns over for the day the baby arrived, a white baptismal taper the guest lights with a touch (it stays lit and warms the card), the godparents, the sponsors and who does what in the service on dotted leaders, the order of the day on a foil line that draws itself down the card as you scroll, a reception enclosure card, a slip for family watching online, a fan of paper colour chips for the dress code, a stack of prints to throw aside one by one, questions that open one at a time, and a reply closed with the same foil seal.
Colours and type
Ivory & Cross comes in 4 colourways: Ivory & gold, Blush & rose gold, Dusty blue & silver and Stone & sage, with 3 type pairings: Engraved, Roman capitals and Didone. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
