Site Blueprint: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is an architect's blueprint for a building project called your child: a tower crane sets the age in place, caution tape reads "Under construction", and guests sign in on the site sheet with a hard hat.
The design
Opens on a cyanotype drawing set, sheet A-000: the child's name as the project title in stencil, their photo framed as Site Photo 01 and a tower crane drawn beside it. The drafting lines draw themselves, the crane runs its trolley out and lowers a hatched, section-cut "5" onto the corner of the photo, it sets down with a puff of dust and caution tape snaps across: Under construction, age 5. Below, a real title block (client, site, date, start time, scale 1:5 years). Every section is another sheet of the set in drafting language: time to completion as a dimension string, the story as a building section with one storey per year, the venue on a site plan with a north arrow where a digger can be dispatched to dig, the program as a Gantt work schedule whose tasks sign off when tapped, site safety notes for parents, a materials schedule for the colours, site photographs, procurement for gifts, an RFI log for the questions and a site sign-in sheet for the reply, where a hard hat drops onto the sheet and the approval stamp lands. It closes on the revision table: next phase, turns 6.
Colours and type
Site Blueprint comes in 3 colourways: Cyanotype blueprint, Diazo whiteprint and Sepia linen print, with 2 type pairings: Saira Stencil & Architects Daughter and Allerta Stencil & Handlee. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
Made for kids, in the Themed style.
