The Rose House: a birthday invitation template
Her debut in a Victorian glasshouse kept for roses: she is introduced as a new rose, and the eighteen roses are eighteen labelled specimens growing in the beds.
The design
Opens on the front of a curvilinear iron glasshouse drawn in fine ink. The ironwork draws itself, the condensation on the central pane is wiped away to show her portrait through the glazing bars, a climbing rose opens at the foot of the arch and her name arrives as a new cultivar, "Rosa 'Clementine'", while a zinc label is pushed into the bed: eighteen years in cultivation. Inside, everything belongs to the rose house: the garden plan with its numbered beds (the details, with the orangery as the after-party), the potting bench where every pot is a moment of the evening (tap one and a seedling sprouts), the 18 Roses as eighteen drawn specimen roses, each a different cultivar on its own zinc label (hover or tap a rose for the partner's note), the 18 Candles lit under glass cloches, the 18 Treasures in a Wardian case, the court planted in pairs along the central walk, the parents' message on the cast-iron dedication plate, her story as cultivation notes up a trellis, the photos as panes of the glazed wall, and the house rules on the enamel notice. Guests reply by signing the botanical register, and a new rose opens beside their entry.
Colours and type
The Rose House comes in 3 colourways: Morning glass & crimson, White iron & tea rose and Lamplit conservatory, with 2 type pairings: Fraunces & Linden Hill and Rosarivo & Crimson Pro. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
