The Jewel Box: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is her heirloom jewellery box: the lid opens on her portrait in the mirror, and every drawer holds part of the evening, from the eighteen treasures in the top tray to the roses as engraved rings.
The design
Opens on a lacquered jewellery box with brass hinges. The little key turns in the lock, the lid swings up on its hinges and a glint crosses the bevelled mirror that holds her portrait; after a held beat her name is engraved into the brass nameplate. Inside, every part of the evening is a drawer pulled out toward you: the parents' letter on the card tucked under the lid, the invitation and a watch counting down on its cushion, the hours of the evening on a brass rail, the 18 Treasures as jewels seated in the velvet compartments of the top tray (tap one and it catches the light), the 18 Roses as rings in a velvet ring roll each engraved with a partner's name, the 18 Candles as a pearl strand whose pearls you light one by one, the court as matched pairs of earrings, the money dance and the toasts as coins and charms in the little drawer, her story as a charm bracelet, the dress code as cut gemstones, the photos in lockets and the FAQ as the care card. To reply, the guest opens a ring box: the ring rises engraved with their answer. If the host adds a song, the brass winding key plays it.
Colours and type
The Jewel Box comes in 3 colourways: Emerald velvet & brass, Sapphire velvet & gold and Garnet velvet & rose gold, with 2 type pairings: Gilda Display & Spectral and Cinzel & Crimson Pro. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
Who it suits
