The design
Opens on Baby Box's kraft-cardboard craft table: "Let's get crafty!" on a strip of washi tape, the child's name stuck down in cut-paper letter tiles one by one, her age traced in glitter glue that sparkles as it fills, and her photo in a scalloped paper frame while Baby Box slides in with her scissors. Every section is something made by hand: a paper-chain countdown, a scrapbook page of hole-punched story tags on yarn, a crayon map to the party, the program as Baby Box's numbered craft steps, a torn notebook note from Mama Box for the grown-ups, colours to wear as pom-poms with Kitty Fairy, photos taped into a scrapbook spread, a yarn gift tag with Cakey, crafty questions on folded notes, a cut-along-the-dotted-line reply card, and a sticker sheet of every Gabby Cat to finish.
