Little Mermaid Under the Sea Show: a birthday invitation template
The invitation is the theatre programme for Sebastian's "Under the Sea" show: the curtains open on a seashell stage and the birthday girl is the star.
The design
Opens on the cover of a theatre programme: a giant scallop-shell stage at the bottom of the sea, coral curtains sweeping open, the child's photo centre stage in the spotlight and Sebastian popping up from the orchestra pit with both claws raised, under the billing "Sebastian presents Marisol in Under the Sea". Every section after it is a page of the same programme, with running heads, page numbers, leader-dot credits and stage directions in italics: the story is the star's Who's Who biography with her previous engagements, the schedule the musical numbers of Act One (Sebastian on maracas), the venue the theatre with a seating plan, notes for parents the information for patrons (refreshments are seafood-free; Chef Louis has been asked to leave), the dress code the costume design swatches, photos the production photographs, the wish list the friends of the production, questions a note from the conductor, and the reply the box office. It ends with a curtain call and "Next season: Marisol turns 6".
Colours and type
Little Mermaid Under the Sea Show comes in 3 colourways: Matinee cream, Opening night and Coral matinee, with 2 type pairings: Limelight & Libre Caslon and Bodoni Moda & Spectral. The colours and type change in the editor at any time; the layout stays its own.
